Hand Conditions We Treat

Trigger Finger

Trigger finger can cause a finger or thumb to catch, click, or lock as it bends and straightens. It happens when a tendon cannot glide smoothly through its surrounding pulley. You may notice stiffness, tenderness near the base of the finger, or a painful lump in the palm.

Dr. Davies evaluates the affected finger and discusses treatment based on your symptoms. Options may include changes to gripping activities, a splint, and a corticosteroid injection when appropriate. Persistent locking may require further treatment planning.

Carpal Tunnel Syndrome

Pressure on the median nerve at the wrist can cause numbness, tingling, or weakness in the hand. Dr. Davies evaluates your symptoms and discusses treatment options, including carpal tunnel surgery when appropriate.
