Trochanteric Bursa Injections
A trochanteric bursa injection places medication into the small fluid-filled cushion on the outside of the hip. The injection typically combines a local anesthetic with a corticosteroid to help reduce pain and inflammation. This office procedure may be considered as part of a treatment plan for trochanteric bursitis. Relief varies, and Dr. Davies will discuss whether an injection is appropriate for you.
