Carpal Tunnel Surgery
Carpal tunnel surgery may be considered when appropriate after an examination and discussion of nonsurgical options. Learn about carpal tunnel syndrome.
Trigger Finger
Trigger finger can cause a finger or thumb to catch, click, or lock as it bends and straightens. It happens when a tendon cannot glide smoothly through its surrounding pulley. You may notice stiffness, tenderness near the base of the finger, or a painful lump in the palm.
Dr. Davies evaluates the affected finger and discusses treatment based on your symptoms. Options may include changes to gripping activities, a splint, and a corticosteroid injection when appropriate. Persistent locking may require further treatment planning.
