Pain and swelling at the base of the thumb in adults over 40 years of age is often due to osteoarthritis. Treatment options include activity modification, NSAIDS, cushion bracing, injection and surgery. Early treatment may help slow the arthritis process and eliminate the need for surgery.
Dr. Scott Plaster performed my left knee replacement. He is a caring, skilled doctor who cares about his patients and their welfare in recovery and is up-to-date on new procedures. My surgery and recovery went extremely well and I recommend him to anyone looking to have a knee replacement. I could not be more pleased. When it is time for my right knee to be replaced, I will definitely go back to him.

The first orthopedic was not experienced enough to know about the type of injury and did more harm than good for me. I would have done things so much different if I had seen Dr Berg first!!!!!
